Fondi – A brawl inside a public venue resulted in four injuries and a security guard found in possession of a truncheon. This is the picture emerging from the investigation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Fondi station, who have charged six people, aged between 28 and 55, at large.

The suspects are employees of a security company, residing in the provinces of Latina, Caserta, and Naples. All are charged with aggravated assault. One of the suspects was also charged with possession or carrying of an object deemed capable of causing harm.

The brawl in the club

The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Latina, began on July 19, when a violent fight broke out inside the venue between some customers and security personnel.

The Carabinieri immediately began an investigation to reconstruct the events and identify those responsible. This investigative work was carried out by interviewing people with knowledge of the incident and analyzing images from video surveillance systems in the area.

The footage itself allowed investigators to reconstruct the sequence of events and outline the roles of the six security personnel believed, at this stage of the investigation, to be involved in the incident.

Four people injured

Four people were injured during the fight. One of them was hospitalized due to the severity of his injuries.

Further investigations conducted by the military finally brought to light another element: one of the security personnel was in possession of a truncheon, a circumstance that also led to the charge against him for carrying objects capable of causing offence.

The six were charged at large and their status is now under judicial review. The charges will need to be confirmed in subsequent proceedings, while respecting the presumption of innocence.
