On Friday, September 4th, at 5:30 PM, the "Pincipe di Agerola" Campus will host the presentation of "Digital Wellbeing," Paolo Siani's new book published by Giannini Editore. The event, part of the official program of the 6th Conference "Culture, Nature, and Science of the Upper Amalfi Coast" and titled "On the Paths of the Gods," will feature the author in conversation with Ferdinando Casolaro, president of ANFSU.

The text addresses the increasingly premature and uncontrolled impact of smartphones on the development of children and adolescents, analyzing their cognitive, emotional, and relational effects. Without demonizing technology, the book draws on scientific evidence and recommendations from the Italian Society of Pediatrics to suggest concrete strategies to limit the risks associated with digital exposure and promote informed use.

Proposals include delaying personal smartphone use, reducing screen time, and strengthening educational partnerships between families, schools, and the community.

Paolo Siani, a pediatrician and former head physician at Santobono Hospital in Naples, has extensive experience in child protection and public health, as well as holding parliamentary and presidential roles in pediatrics. His work aims to promote a "digital diet" that restores time to relationships and presence, with benefits for all generations involved.
