Naples – The other afternoon, a timely intervention by the State Police led to the arrest of two men in Naples, charged with robbery and assault.
The incident took place in Piazza Garibaldi, where the two individuals, aged 28 and 39, allegedly attacked a tourist at a bus stop, pushing and shoving him in an attempt to steal a gold necklace.
After the theft, the suspects fled towards the train station, but were promptly pursued and stopped by officers from the Nibbio unit of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, who were engaged in a territorial control operation.
The swift action of law enforcement prevented the robbers from escaping, thus ensuring the tourist's safety and allowing legal proceedings to be initiated against those arrested.
