A garage in Villaricca was raided by the Carabinieri, and a 35-year-old man, already known to the police, was arrested on charges of drug possession with intent to sell.
The raid was conducted by officers from the Villaricca station, who were carrying out a specific patrol on Via Europa. The business was targeted. The Carabinieri conducted a search and found the 35-year-old inside.
Hashish and marijuana among the tools
The search uncovered approximately 220 grams of hashish and 650 grams of marijuana. A total quantity of nearly a kilo, which, according to the investigation, was intended for drug dealing.
Three precision scales, believed to be used for packaging the doses, a cell phone, and €1.560 in cash were also seized from the workshop, an amount investigators believe to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
The search continues at the house
The searches didn't stop at the workshop. The Carabinieri extended the search to the 35-year-old's home, where they found cannabis seeds and another precision scale.
Following the investigation, the man was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. He was placed under house arrest pending trial.
