During an evening check on August 31st in Castel Volturno, Carabinieri officers from the Mondragone Territorial Unit arrested a 22-year-old for possession of weapons and narcotics. After stopping a car with two young men inside, officers observed agitated behavior, which warranted a search.
Inside a purse belonging to the 22-year-old, a Beretta FS model pistol with its serial number erased, complete with a magazine containing nine 9x19 caliber rounds, was found, along with drugs and cash. Specifically, 11 packages containing a total of 3,23 grams of cocaine and approximately 0,5 grams of marijuana were seized, as well as a radio frequency detection device and €1.347,60 in cash.
The search was extended to the young man's home, where eight additional packages containing approximately 298 grams of cocaine and packaging materials were found. All the material was seized. The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing, trafficking, and illicit possession of narcotics, carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen goods, and possession of war ammunition.
By order of the judicial authorities, he was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, pending further decisions. The operation is part of territorial control activities in Castel Volturno, with the suspect's identity being determined while respecting the presumption of innocence.
