Camposano – The darkness of the night interrupted by the wailing of emergency services, crumpled metal, and a young life lost on the asphalt. This is the tragic outcome of yet another road accident that occurred just outside Nola, shortly after midnight, in the municipality of Camposano.

A 26-year-old woman died instantly from the severe injuries she sustained in the crash. The young woman was riding her scooter when, for reasons still under investigation, she collided violently with a car at the intersection of Via Trivice d'Ossa and Via Pizzariello. Emergency medical services and the Carabinieri of the Nola Company responded quickly to the scene.

Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the twenty-six-year-old: doctors could only pronounce her dead. A 20-year-old man was driving the car, accompanied by a female friend; both were injured in the collision and were rushed to the Santa Maria della Pietà hospital in Nola for treatment.

Fortunately, according to medical sources, the two are not in life-threatening danger. The Carabinieri have conducted topographical surveys to delimit the area and trace the trajectory of the two vehicles, proceeding with the usual seizures and launching an investigation to determine any responsibilities and clarify the precise circumstances of the tragedy.

The boy underwent all the necessary tests to determine whether he was fit to drive at the time of the crash, and pending the results, his car, as well as the victim's scooter, were seized.

The blood trail: the latest precedents in Naples and the province

The Camposano tragedy is unfortunately not an isolated case, but is part of a dramatic series of fatal accidents that continue to plague the roads of the Neapolitan province. The tragedy on the A16 in Marigliano:
