The man, a resident of Pontone, had left home without warning: at the moment there are no signs of violence on his body.
A mystery has broken out in Scala, in the Salerno area, where the lifeless body of a man in his 60s was found this morning. The victim, RE, a resident of the Pontone district, had left his home without warning.
The body was found along a path in the Monte di Pontone area, on the pavement at the base of a descending stairway. The Carabinieri, the Scala Local Police, and Millennium public assistance workers responded to the scene.
The magistrate on duty at the Court of Salerno was informed of the incident. The medical examiner performed an initial external examination of the body, necessary to help clarify the cause of death.
At this time, there are no signs of violence on his body. The man was found naked, wearing only his underwear. According to witnesses gathered at the scene, he was clutching one of the two slippers he was wearing in one hand.
The medical-legal investigations and further investigative investigations will establish what happened along the path and clarify the causes of death.
