A comprehensive and structured action plan to restore decorum, livability, and protection to the area. In Casoria, the municipal administration and the Local Police Command are raising the bar in combating indiscriminate waste dumping, deploying new operational resources and targeted patrol strategies. The goal is clear: to stamp out illegal practices and ensure compliance with the regulations governing the proper disposal of solid urban waste.
A specialized unit for environmental controls
The main organizational innovation is the creation of a specialized unit of the Local Police, entirely dedicated to environmental controls and combating urban decay. The new team has already begun its first field operations, yielding immediate results: inspections conducted in the most critical areas have led to seizures and numerous fines being issued to offenders.
Spills under fire even at night with the Army
Further strengthening the surveillance system will be the integration with the Terra dei Fuochi 2026 Project, funded by the Ministry of the Interior. Thanks to ministerial funding, Local Police patrols will intensify their presence, including during the evening and nighttime hours, when illegal dumping occurs most frequently. These operations will be supported by the Italian Army, allowing for a significant increase in enforcement at zero cost to the Municipality.
Deterrence and protection of virtuous citizens
As reiterated by the Local Police Command, the priority is not limited to punitive action, but rather to creating a genuine deterrent in the area. While enforcement will continue without retaliation for those who violate regulations, the aim is to protect the vast majority of citizens who contribute daily to the city's decorum through virtuous behavior. The combination of specialized personnel, coordination with the armed forces, and 24-hour surveillance marks a decisive step forward for Casoria's environmental safety.
