On Via Regina Margherita, the Carabinieri stopped a 28-year-old and a 25-year-old: in a glasses case, they found 37 doses of crack and 80 euros in cash.
A night of checks in Castellammare di Stabia. Carabinieri from the local unit arrested a 28-year-old man, Gianmario Somma, already known to law enforcement, and a 25-year-old man with no criminal record for possession of drugs with intent to sell.
It's the dead of night when a Carabinieri patrol car drives down Via Regina Margherita. The officers notice two young men acting suspiciously and decide to check them out. Upon seeing the Carabinieri, the two attempt to get rid of an eyeglass case.
They were immediately stopped and the case was recovered: inside were 37 crack cocaine doses, weighing a total of 18 grams. €80 in cash was also found on the two young men, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
Both were placed in handcuffs and are now under house arrest awaiting trial.
