In Frigento, a 16-year-old minor with mental and physical disabilities is at the center of an investigation for alleged sexual abuse. The girl's mother filed a complaint after noticing a significant change in her daughter's mood and behavior.
The charges concern two men, a 79-year-old and a 59-year-old, both local. The alleged assault occurred during the summer, after school was out, in contexts related to the family's daily life: one of the suspects owns the home where the girl's mother performed housework, the other is an acquaintance who occasionally helped the woman.
The minor, represented by attorney Gerardo Testa, will be heard in an evidentiary hearing scheduled for September 16th in a secure facility to ensure her protection. The defense has appointed psychologist Chiara Pugliese as a technical consultant to ensure her qualified and respectful participation in the expert hearings.
Attorney Testa emphasized the importance of conducting the investigation rigorously and with technical guarantees, taking into account the girl's vulnerability and the sensitive nature of the case, in line with the Red Code, which protects victims of violence.
