Police operation on Via Oronzo Costa, the famous street of death during the Camorra war.
As part of extraordinary operations aimed at combating drug trafficking in the historic center of Naples, the State Police arrested a 35-year-old woman with a prior drug conviction.
The arrest took place yesterday afternoon on Via Oronzo Costa, at the intersection with Vico dei Candelari, where the woman was caught selling drugs for money. The street is infamous in the legal news and nicknamed the "road of death" because during the Paranza dei Bambini feud, there were a series of deaths and injuries.
The officers, who intervened promptly, stopped the suspect and found her in possession of 63 doses of cocaine, 10 doses of heroin, and 135 euros in banknotes of various denominations.
The operation is part of a broader territorial control strategy by the Office of General Prevention and Public Relief, committed to cracking down on drug dealing in the area. The woman was therefore arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent authorities.
