Naples – A moment of intense emotion held the breath of the Spanish Quarter. Jana Maradona, 29, knelt in prayer right beneath the historic mural dedicated to the God of Football. The young woman, the fourth daughter of the iconic Argentine number 10, was photographed paying homage to her father's image.

Initially unnoticed by the many tourists and faithful in the square, her presence went viral after the video was shared on social media. The long road to recognition Jana, born from the relationship between Diego and Valeria Sabalain, was the second child not to be immediately recognized by the Argentine champion, following a similar story to that of his firstborn Neapolitan, Diego Armando Junior.

Having remained out of the spotlight for years, the girl had to wait until she was 18 to establish direct contact with her father. "I just wanted to meet him": the first meeting at the gym. Their personal story emerged forcefully in 2019. A guest in an exclusive television appearance on the program Domenica Live hosted by Barbara D'Urso, the girl recounted the moment when, at 18, she decided to seek out her father: "I discovered he worked out at a gym near me and I jumped at the chance.

I wasn't looking for anything from him, no inheritance or compensation: I just wanted to get to know him." A spontaneous meeting that allowed both of them to overcome past misunderstandings and begin to make up for lost time. His presence in the Spanish Quarter confirms a spiritual bond that resists time and the passing of the champion.
