Nine rifles and a large amount of ammunition were seized by the Carabinieri from the home of a 60-year-old man in Vallo di Lauro, in the province of Avellino. The action was taken after a series of frequent disputes within the condominium, which reportedly fueled concerns about the presence of numerous weapons inside the home.
The weapons were legally held, but the military deemed it necessary to proceed with their precautionary withdrawal in light of the situation that had arisen in the building.
In addition to the nine rifles and ammunition, the owner also had his gun ownership permits, issued by the Avellino Police Headquarters, confiscated.
The Carabinieri's intervention was part of a series of investigations into the tense situation in the condominium, aimed at preventing potential consequences related to the presence of weapons in a context characterized by repeated clashes.
