Prefect Michele di Bari updates Mayor Manzoni. The fire department has already performed 830 static inspections. 1.011 CAS grants have been disbursed out of 1.347 applications. The monitoring process remains open.
A new meeting was held this morning at the Government Palace in Naples, convened by Prefect Michele di Bari to update the situation on civil protection activities in the Phlegraean Fields area, one month after the earthquake of July 31st. Among those present at the meeting were the mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, and representatives of the Metropolitan City, the Fire Brigade, and the Police.
Firefighters remain deployed across the area with 15 teams. To date, 830 structural inspections have been carried out on buildings and 288 interventions have been carried out to recover household goods from evacuated homes. In Pozzuoli, evacuation orders affect 4.060 people, representing 1.744 families.
Of these, 3.314 have requested assistance for independent accommodation; 121 are staying in hotels; 50 are staying at the Palatrincone in Monterusciello, not all of whom have been issued evacuation orders; and 575 have not requested any assistance.
Meanwhile, 157 people, corresponding to 59 families, have returned to their homes following the revocation orders. The provision of CAS (Assisted Living Assistance) continues: out of 1.347 applications received, the Municipality has already made 1.011 payments. The water system is also returning to normal: of the 116 reports of pipe leaks, 113 have been resolved, and three interventions are ongoing. The monitoring committee remains open at the Prefecture.
