Upon arriving at the scene, the security guards encountered a dramatic scene: a young Georgian woman, completely naked and in a state of shock. The alleged perpetrator was still standing beside her, and upon seeing the uniforms, he attempted to escape into the complex's underground corridors. The chase, as Il Roma reports, was over in moments: the officers rushed into the underpasses, cutting off the man's escape route and capturing him before he could disappear into the darkness.

Hospitalization at Cardarelli and arrest

Within minutes, emergency services from 118 and State Police patrols from the Poggioreale Police Station arrived. The victim was promptly wrapped in thermal blankets and rushed to the emergency room at Cardarelli Hospital, where she was taken care of by medical staff and placed under the pink protocol established for victims of sexual assault.

The attacker, identified as a 40-year-old Moroccan man, was taken to the police station and formally arrested on serious charges of sexual assault. By order of the judicial authorities, the man was transferred to the Carinola prison in custody, pending a validation hearing by the investigating judge. The Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation to reconstruct the details of the attack.
