Airola – Stakes outside his home and workplace, insults, threats, insistent requests to superiors, and even the discovery of a bottle containing what was likely flammable liquid. This is the reconstruction, provided by the Carabinieri of the Airola station, of the stalking behavior carried out by a man against his ex-partner's brother, believing him to be responsible for the end of their relationship.
Following the victim's complaint, the Carabinieri investigators reconstructed an escalation of harassment and intimidation, defining the suspect's behavior as "systemic and pervasive persecutory conduct."
Among the most serious incidents were the discovery of a bottle containing flammable liquid and the repeated abandonment of material attributable to the sister near the victim's home.
For this reason, the Carabinieri executed a precautionary order prohibiting anyone from approaching the victim, requiring them to maintain a minimum distance of 1,000 meters, placing them on an electronic bracelet, and absolutely prohibiting them from communicating with the victim. This measure comes amid a similar precautionary measure already in place to protect the woman, the suspect's former partner.
According to investigators, the victim's behavior caused "a serious and persistent state of anxiety and a well-founded fear for her safety," forcing her to make a "radical and painful change in her lifestyle." The investigation continues in accordance with the principle of the presumption of innocence, without prejudice to the possibility of appealing the precautionary measure.
