On Thursday 16 September 2026, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii will host the Wine Festival , an event celebrating the first harvest of the winemaking project activated with the public-private partnership of the Tenute Capaldo Group, through the Feudi di San Gregorio and Basilisco wineries.
The meeting is at 16:30 PM at the Casa del Triclinio vineyard (entrance from Piazza Anfiteatro). This year's harvest involves 14 small vineyards located within the Park's domus, covering a total area of just over one hectare. These vineyards are also cultivated for research and educational purposes. With the 2026 harvest, the project enters its first production phase.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to witness the harvesting operations, take part in guided tours of some of the archaeological area's vineyards, and take part in convivial activities, including:
- toast with Feudi di San Gregorio wines;
- tasting of bread and IGP oil from the Park, Pùmpaiia;
- Tasting of products from Parvula Domus – the Park's cultural and social farm.
Program and educational activities:
- Visits to the Orto dei Fuggiaschi vineyards and the outdoor Triclinium starting at 16:00 PM.
- Visits and educational activities for children at the Foro Boario vineyard from 3pm, organised by the Pompeii Children's Museum (workshops by reservation on www.pompeiichildrenmuseum.it).
