Sant'Antimo, Arzano and Caivano. Extraordinary Commissioners threatened, complaint to the Viminale. A letter was sent to the Prosecutors Francesco Greco and Giovanni Melillo: In the territories the Prefects are at risk as in the years of lead. It would not be the usual threat hidden behind the screen of instrumental polemics or the outburst of some mayor and councilor sent home because they stained themselves with the shame of dissolution for Camorra: but a preordained plan and perhaps well organized by former administrators and parts of the State. And this is what is happening in these hours in the municipalities managed by the commissioners who have ended up at the center of a crossfire of those who, through a clumsy attempt to want to subvert the serious accusations made against them, with a strategy that seems to be united by a single common thread: attacking the State and those who represent it in this historical moment in which governments are demonstrating that they can no longer guarantee anyone, least of all state bodies. Among other things, the excellent releases of bosses and henchmen in recent weeks are proof that the mafia (including political mafia) is changing its skin and is apparently trying in every way to gain ground by sending a strong signal to the Government: to put an end to the practice of commissioners by presenting a bill that limits their scope of action. We'll see. But let's return to the municipalities in the area north of Naples. The real paradox is represented by the Municipality of Sant'Antimo where the commission, established only a few weeks ago, has already ended up at the center of violent attacks through a highly defamatory social campaign and by raiding the town hall to take videos and photos, they are allegedly trying to influence the choices of the extraordinary commission. The same thing also in the municipality of Arzano, where the former mayor Fiorella Esposito is said to have started a real defamatory campaign on social media (already reported to the Prosecutor's Office) against the extraordinary commission trying to overturn the accusations against her administration by the vice prefects. Even lashing out against the Public Prosecutor's Office and the police forces who, in his opinion, had not eradicated usury and drug dealing areas.
In the over 100 pages of the DPR, Esposito is accused of appointing a manager under investigation and involved in several inquiries, the lack of control over the abuses of the 167 clan in via Colombo with the lack of communication to the IACP of Naples in reference to the occupation of the apartments without a title, the management of the funeral home by the Ferone clan despite the company not being authorized, and the management with the lack of control over the confiscated assets entrusted to two candidates of his electoral lists with an association without even a title. Caivano also sees the intolerance of the politics dissolved for mafia that never misses an opportunity to highlight facts and circumstances not supported by the facts but with the clear intent to delegitimize the action of the State in this too. And it seems obvious that all this overexposure without a decisive intervention by the judiciary with the opening of investigations, could determine a concrete risk for state officials and against anyone who is "stained" to hinder the advance of a system that on the abuse, verbal violence and slander would like to build a new political credibility. Such unwise actions denied with facts by the concrete actions of the commissioners. (gs)
