Good news from Cilento and the Amalfi Coast regarding infections related to the Covid-19 emergency.
In Montecorice “The third swab performed on our fellow citizen was negative. This wonderful news was recently communicated directly to the mayor”: the announcement was made in a post on Facebook by the Municipality of Montecorice, which recalls how, last April 21, the mayor Pierpaolo Piccirilli, also on behalf of the interested party, had “expressed doubts about the result of the first swab based on a series of concomitant circumstances – absence of symptoms, negativity of all the swabs performed on colleagues and close relatives, articles in the press that raised suspicions about the reliability of another swab – and had asked the Zooprophylactic Institute to re-examine said swab”. To date, we are still waiting for a response. “In any case – the note continues – the long-awaited and desired news has arrived, which dispels any doubts about the state of health of our young fellow citizen. A hug to him and his family, who have gone through delicate and worrying days”.
In Agropoli
After more than a month of hospitalization at the “San Luca” hospital in Vallo della Lucania, the woman, a relative of the railway worker Alfonso Migliorino who died from the virus, who had tested positive for the swab, was discharged. Since yesterday she has been back home with her family.
On the Amalfi Coast
The mayor of Cetara Roberto Della Monica announces “with immense joy and serenity” the negative result of the swab test of the only positive case of Covid-19. This is the asymptomatic nurse working in the Emergency Surgery department of the “Umberto I” hospital in Nocera inferiore who was infected along with other colleagues on April 5. “Our highest solidarity and fraternal friendship has gone and goes to our fellow citizen – writes the mayor on social media – Long live Cetara, we will soon return to normal, confirming our high sense of responsibility”.
