So far, hundreds of barbers and hairdressers from all over Italy have decided to bring a class action lawsuit before the TAR Lazio against the Prime Ministerial Decree of 28 April which set the reopening of their businesses for 1 June.
L'initiative, aimed at obtaining a precautionary order from the Administrative Court that suspends the measure and allows, as early as mid-May, to reopen the doors to their customers, is aimed at avoiding individual and collective economic collapse. The hearing could be held as early as the end of next week. In fact, the businesses have been closed for two months and many of them have not even received from INPS the 600 euros promised by the Government due to a series of inevitable bureaucratic obstacles typical of the Italian system.
The undersigned subjects, coming from all over Italy, ask the Judges for a rapid opening and claim to trust "those who cut in complete safety and not those who cut in secret with the concrete risk of increasing the spread of the virus". In fact, the workers in the sector complain of a marked increase in illegal workers who, taking advantage of the closure of the premises, are operating by going to the homes of customers and in doing so are a serious and concrete risk for themselves and for others. The judicial initiative, sponsored by the Giustitalia Association, has deployed the best administrative lawyers free of charge. Workers in the sector who would like to participate in the initiative can send an email to [email protected] with their contact details.
