Sanza. A 46-year-old man living in Germany had gone to the home of some local people to discuss an old love issue, armed with a baseball bat and a blank gun. The man, under the influence of drugs, after having fired an intimidating shot in the air, was reached and severely beaten by the other three.
Seriously injured, he managed to escape on board a stolen car, taking refuge in his home. The military of the Sanza Station together with the Sapri Operations Unit immediately rushed to the scene: the 46-year-old was found bleeding in the garage of his home and was immediately transported to the hospital in Polla. He was given a 30-day prognosis, with deep head wounds. In the meantime, the military continued with the search of his home, discovering a real drug laboratory. At the end of the search, 130 grams of pure cocaine, 85 grams of mannitol (a substance for cutting cocaine), all the cutting, weighing and packaging material, 830 euros in cash and numerous SIM cards, cell phones and tablets used to manage the dense network of users, as well as the weapon, a blank-firing pistol on sale with 88 bullets, were seized.
The man, PV in addition to the reports for assault, threats and theft, was thus arrested for possession of drugs with intent to sell. He is currently under guard in the Covid department of the Polla hospital awaiting the protocol checks.
