Reorganization of offices, a greater push on photovoltaic systems and energy communities. But also, in view of the Christmas holidays, reduction to a minimum of the use of lights, to avoid waste.
The Municipality of Naples is preparing for this type of measures, to be added to those already launched by the Government, to deal with the high cost of energy. After the meeting of the Energy Table in recent days, Mayor Gaetano Manfredi is outlining the path.
“We will move on the reorganization of our offices, to promote energy saving actions, waste reduction and efficiency improvement - explains - then we will act on all photovoltaic systems, both public and private, to put them back into operation and promote new ones".
Furthermore, to ensure greater energy self-sufficiency, the Administration will focus heavily on energy communities. “In Naples we have a very important example of this in the San Giovanni a Teduccio neighborhood - remember - and we hope that this model can be replicated in other parts of the city."
Manfredi then underlines that for next Christmas, the Municipality will follow the line of "sobriety" both with regards to the lighting of the monuments and the illuminations. “We will only give signs – clarifies – without going overboard, because it would be a waste, considering the overall difficulties everyone has in managing and paying for energy”.
