Uan unsuspecting 49 year old Casal di Principe he was found in possession of a gun and numerous rounds of ammunition and was arrested for illegal possession.
This morning, the Carabinieri of the Operative and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Casal di Principe Company, during a territorial control service carried out together with the Carabinieri's canine units, and aimed at searching for illegally held weapons, proceeded to arrest a forty-nine-year-old local man.
He was in fact found in possession, following a personal and home search, of 59 7,65 caliber bullets and a pistol of the same caliber. The weapon and ammunition, immediately seized, had been hidden in the bathroom of the house.
The weapon was sent to forensic experts who will have to verify whether it was used in recent criminal acts. The man was obviously unable to provide explanations about the possession of the weapon and ammunition.
At the same time, the arrested person was also reported at liberty for tampering with the ENEL meter, a crime confirmed with the assistance of technicians from the company supplying the service, who were called to intervene on site.
The man was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
