Legambiente, Aiello del Sabato (Av) hosts the "best of youth." Over 50 young people from across the region are on the front lines for the environment and the planet.

Climate justice, social justice, renewable sources. These are the main themes of the Youth Climate Meeting Campania organized by Legambiente Campania that will take place from 7 to 9 October at the Scout Agesci Campania headquarters in Aiello del Sabato (Av).

For three days the city of Avellino will host the "best youth" over 50 volunteers from all over the Region on the front line for the environment, aware and convinced that to help the Planet we need commitments and concrete actions that can no longer be postponed. They will be three intense days of workshops and thematic tables to discuss one of the most current environmental issues: climate change, how to face it and above all how to combat it.

Three days that will serve to make our territorial circles more prepared and aware especially on two fundamental themes, energy and inequalities. Two workshops are planned, conducted through the non-formal method, the first focuses on renewables while the other on concrete actions that can be implemented to stem social disparities.

“The Youth Climate Meeting Campania – explains Grazia Maria Forino, regional secretary of Legambiente – is a concrete opportunity for discussion and scientific training on the main environmental issues and a laboratory of ideas and proposals that will have as protagonists many young people from our Region. The comparison methodologies that we adopt are non-formal and innovative. We believe, in fact, that influencing climate and social justice are two fundamental levers to combat climate change.

The right energy transition must start from the bottom and the meeting we are promoting represents a further step in a training path undertaken with our volunteers to disseminate these themes in their territories. We are convinced that young people can really change the world, they have very clear ideas about what they want and about the actions that the great ones of the earth must implement to really accelerate the ecological and energy transition of the country and to protect the environment.”
