Land works will mostly affect the outskirts. Already started in recent days with via Garibaldi and via Sergianni, they are made possible thanks to public funds and agreements with service companies.
More than five kilometers of city streets will be affected by major recovery and repaving work. The initiative, desired by the administration led by Mayor Antonio Diplomatico and carried out by the Councilor for Public Works Luca Giordano, is made possible thanks in part to municipal funds and in part to the synergy with the companies that manage the service networks. Already concluded for some arteries in the center and outskirts (via Garibaldi and via Sergianni with funding from the Authority), the work will continue in the coming weeks.
In particular, the streets affected will be: via Cangiani, via Marra, via Canalone delle Mura, vico Cirillo, via Vicinale Brancaccio, Via Matteotti, via Carbone, via Colombo, via Sanza, via Vecchia Aquini, via Pasqui and via Pirozzi.
“We are implementing works never done before, the result of a concerted effort that has been going on for some time, including with the private companies that manage the underground services. While in other municipalities we find partial coverage of the works, in Boscoreale entire carriageways will be redone”. Councillor Luca Giordano explained, ignoring the controversies of the last few days that arose especially on social media after the completion of the works on the first two roads: “If we redo a road in the center, they complain in the suburbs and vice versa. It’s always the same sterile chatter, artfully fueled by those who have never managed to do much.”
These latest works are a further success for the mayor Antonio Diplomatico. “After the terrible years of the pandemic, we have managed to carry out important public construction sites, some of which have already been closed or are under construction. The work that my administration has put in place – said the mayor – It was a long-term project and it is demonstrated by what we have achieved in the last year."
