Naples, the General Commander of the Carabinieri visits Nunziatella and then Caserta and Caivano

QThis morning the General Commander of the Carabinieri, General of the Army Corps Teo Luzi reached the provinces of Napoli and Caserta for an institutional visit, accompanied by the Interregional Commander "Ogaden", Army Corps General Andrea Rispoli.

First stop the Nunziatella Military School of Naples, a training place for hundreds of boys and girls from all over Italy, a breeding ground for many Officers of the Carabinieri. The Commander of the “Rosso Maniero” Colonel Giuseppe Stellato welcomed him.

Having paid tribute to the flag of the Nunziatella, decorated with the Gold Cross of Merit of the Carabinieri, the General Commander reached the headquarters of the Carabinieri Group of Castello di Cisterna. Welcomed by the commander of the Campania Legion, by the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Naples, Brigadier General Enrico Scandone and by the commander of that Department, Lieutenant Colonel Nicola De Tullio, General Luzi expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the Carabinieri engaged in the difficult territory north of Naples.

Delegations from the National Forestry Associations and retired Carabinieri were also present at the meeting.

After the visit, he reached the headquarters of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Caserta, where he was received by the Commander, Colonel Manuel Scarso, and met a delegation of military personnel serving in the various departments, including those of the Special Organization operating in the province. The occasion was an opportunity for an in-depth analysis of the issues characterizing the territory and for a direct and open discussion with personnel of all ranks, to whom Gen. Luzi expressed his appreciation for their commitment and the results obtained.

The highest level of the Arma wanted, in particular, to compliment the choral action developed in the fight against micro and macro crime and focused on the important role played by the Stations, strongholds of democracy and closeness to the citizens. The meeting was also attended by delegations from the National Forestry Associations and retired Carabinieri, led by the Regional Inspector ANC, Gen. CA Domenico Cagnazzo. Gen. Luzi then underlined the important social role that the two associations play in supporting the communities.

Finally, before returning to Rome, General Teo Luzi visited the newly established Carabinieri Company of Caivano. Captain Antonio Maria Cavallo hosted the event.

Also present was a delegation of teachers and students from the Istituto Superiore “Francesco Morano”, on the front line, together with the Carabinieri, in the affirmation of the principles of legality in the territory. Numerous initiatives carried out in concert with the Carabinieri, in the protection of the environment in the promotion of sport as a tool for inclusion and sociality. And right in the Morano gym, next week, the champions of the Carabinieri sports center will hold a series of boxing courses for students.
During the meeting, the General Commander highlighted the importance of the work carried out daily alongside the citizen, one of the founding pillars of the centuries-old activity of the Carabinieri.
The visit ended with a photo shoot requested by the students of Morano to the Commander to confirm the institutions' esteem and closeness towards the Carabinieri.
