Gragnano, on Valentine's Day the children inaugurate the new ecological island

Ua gesture of love for Gragnano. On Valentine's Day, the day of the lovers' celebration, 200 children inaugurate the collection center in via Incoronata. Loving your city means respecting it through small gestures.

The students of the elementary schools of Gragnano will do it mainly through separate waste collection thanks to the opening of the collection center. Together with the young students there will be the mayor Nello D'Auria, the municipal administration and a representative of Velia Ambiente Srl, a company that manages environmental hygiene services for the Municipality of Gragnano.

See you tomorrow, February 14, 2023, at 10:00. The space dedicated to separate waste collection reopens after a series of improvements. Citizens will have a dedicated path to deposit their waste directly in the dedicated equipment, with the help of ecological operators. The collection center in Via Incoronata will remain open to the public, from Monday to Saturday, from 07:00 to 13:30.

In addition to bulky waste and WEEE (electronic waste), it will be possible to deliver to the ecological island also paper and cardboard packaging, plastic and can packaging (multi-material), glass packaging, grass cuttings and prunings, batteries and accumulators, medicines. At the collection center it is also possible to use the containers to dispose of used clothes and exhausted vegetable oils.
