Jethro Tull announce the first date of their summer tour: they will be live on Saturday 1st July at the Belvedere in San Leucio (Caserta) for the Un'Estate da BelvedeRE 2023 festival. It will be an opportunity to perform live, in addition to the most significant songs from their discography, also those contained in the new album to be released on 21st April by InsideOutMusic/Sony, RökFlöte, the 23rd of their career.
The legendary British band led by Ian Anderson returns to perform in Campania with an exclusive concert in Caserta as part of the eighth edition of the festival directed by Massimo Vecchione, scheduled from 10 June to 20 September 2023. The Un'Estate da BelvedeRE festival is organized by Lwr Srl with the artistic supervision of Ventidieci, in partnership with the Municipality of Caserta. Tickets for the Jethro Tull show at the Belvedere di San Leucio are already available on the official Ticketone and Go2 circuits.
Jethro Tull first appeared under this name in 1968 at London's famous Marquee Club and quickly built up a following, playing up and down England. Their real success – somewhat surprisingly – came at the Sunbury Jazz and Blues Festival in the summer of 1968.
Jethro Tull recorded and released their first album, This Was, with the original lineup of Anderson, Cornick, Bunker and Abrahams. After Mick Abrahams was replaced by Martin Barre, around 30 other musicians have taken turns in the ranks of Jethro Tull, a brand that has survived to this day and endures over time: Ian Anderson typically performs with the band for around a hundred shows a year around the world.
