LItalian journalist and television host Tiziana Ferrario will be a guest tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, February 28th – starting at 16:2023 PM – at the Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples. The event is part of PRATICA MAESTRA, a 2023 teacher refresher course recognized by the Ministry of Education. The course, organized by Casa del Contemporaneo and le Nuvole with Agita Teatro, continues until April XNUMX and is open to all interested parties, from university students to cultural educators to social workers.
“Not a kermesse, not a series of seminars, but moments to create situations of reaction to both creative and pedagogical stalemate. Beyond differences. For a transversal methodology that passes through the performing arts” – declare in a note the organizers Morena Pauro and Salvatore Guadagnuolo – “Pratica Maestra addresses the theme of examples of alternative pedagogy through artistic and creative activities that reflect a different approach and that are of an educational and creative model: meetings, debates, moments of entertainment, but above all knowledge and sharing of exemplary practices, both pedagogical and theatrical”.
HE WHO IS BORN A MAN COMMANDS, HE WHO IS BORN A WOMAN OBEYS this is the title of the meeting on February 28th in which the book “The Afghan Princess and the Garden of Young Rebels” by Tiziana Ferrario will be presented, followed by the viewing of the theatrical performance “Spring Without Pomegranates” conceived and created by teachers from schools in Friuli-Venezia Giulia coordinated by Michela Vanni and Salvatore Guadagnuolo.
Ferrario's novel is inspired by the true story of Homaira, granddaughter of King Zahir Shah, the man who ruled Afghanistan for forty years before being overthrown in a coup. In a world suspended between life and death, the princess takes care of the women who knock on her door, while the fundamentalists advance, spreading hatred and revenge. "Journalists, teachers, doctors, deminers, but also athletes, policewomen, judges, musicians, designers, and fashion and costume enthusiasts draw the face of a generation that wants to keep alive the memory of a time when Afghanistan was a destination for travellers and a paradise for hippies, a land of culture and ancient traditions, where women were not stoned in stadiums" - Ferrario reports in a note - "I had to tell their stories, so that those who have not yet given up are not abandoned and so that no one can say: I didn't know".
Even in the theatrical performance “Spring without pomegranates” the aspirations, hopes and tragic events of Afghan women take shape and the story-denunciation of their dramas finds comfort in a collective, strong and sweet embrace so that the audience can empathetically participate in an ancient, but unfortunately ever-present, pain in the face of which we too often feel helpless.

I have worked for over 15 years in the world of theater and entertainment in general and I have had very long experiences as an administrator and coordinator of companies in complex shows, with numerous actors and staff. I have always taken care of the theater companies and also in the more general context of the organization of events, both the relationships with third parties and entities and those with the press and the world of mass media, having managed the press office in full autonomy several times on the occasion of shows, reviews, exhibitions and events
