SThe beach of Bacoli, on the Phlegraean coast, made famous by the actor's kiss with Giuliana De Sio in "Sorry for the delay", will be dedicated to Massimo Troisi.
The announcement was made by Mayor Josi Gerardo Della Ragione, with a post on Facebook. “A beach for Troisi! We decided to name the beach of Miliscola in memory of Massimo Troisi, Neapolitan pride in the world”, writes the mayor.
Which explains: “Here, 40 years ago, he shot the unforgettable scene of 'Sorry for the Delay'. The kissing scene, with Giuliana De Sio. With the promontory of Miseno in the background. We will do it this year, in spring. And we announce it today, on the day of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the birth of the actor and director.
It will be a great celebration, in one of the most iconic places of the Campi Flegrei. It is a necessary, dutiful tribute. For everlasting memory. I thank the president of the city council, Mauro Cucco, who has been following the realization of this important initiative for months. Happy birthday, Massimo. We will always carry you in our hearts”.
