Un throwing objects on the field which for once comes from the solidarity and not from the violence of the fans: it happened on Sunday evening in Istanbul, , during the Turkish league match between Besiktas andAntalyaspor, the team from the southeastern province hardest hit by the earthquake of February 6th.

After four minutes and 17 seconds of play, corresponding to the time of the first tremor (04:17 in the morning), the home fans began to throw thousands of Teddy bears, Plush, scarves e caps.
The referee has suspended la Partita and, as soon as he understood the meaning of the initiative explained by a banner in the stands, he joined the players to applaud. The game then resumed after five minutes, the time it took the players to recover all the objects and clear the pitch, in a climate of general emotion.
The pitchside area was thus transformed into a colourful carpet of toys. The players also put at auction their sweaters for a fundraiser in favor of the earthquake victims. In a note, the Istanbul club explained that its supporters wanted to give courage to the children affected by earthquake.
Emotion and memory: “There are more important things than football”
Even before the match, the home players had warmed up wearing a T-shirt that commemorated the cities devastated by the earthquake. “There are more important things than football”, ha sottolineato Tayyb Sanuc, Besiktas defender, "we are going through difficult times as a country. I was moved by the gesture of our fans, together we will heal the wounds".
