EIt was the frequentation of a parish priest from Caserta that led the Carabinieri to discover the existence of a house of prostitution in a B&B in the business centre of Napoli.
The military personnel of the Capua company executed an order for the application of precautionary measures, issued by the investigating judge of Naples at the request of the Neapolitan Prosecutor's Office, against 4 suspects considered seriously suspected of the crimes of exploitation and aiding and abetting prostitution.
One of the suspects was subjected to a ban on residing in Campania, while the other three were subjected to the obligation to report to the judicial police. The B&B was seized.
The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of the Vairano Scalo Carabinieri Station began in October 2020 and ended in January 2021; the investigative activities initially allowed them to acquire serious evidence of guilt against a prelate, parish priest of Presenzano, in relation to the crimes of sexual violence and exploitation of prostitution against several minors, conduct for which the parish priest was subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest and is currently on trial before the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
The parish priest's frequenting of a B&B in the Centro direzionale of Naples directed the investigations towards the structure, revealing how it was managed by the suspects, managers and employees of the center, as a "house of prostitution" within which they facilitated, through online advertisements and the provision of rooms in the structure, the prostitution of women and men, appropriating part of the earnings thus obtained. In consideration of the intense prostitution activity reconstructed by the Carabinieri, it emerged how the suspects had obtained significant earnings over time.
