Land stairs of the Santa Lucia dock in Naples dedicated to Lucio Dalla.
This morning the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, unveiled the plaque dedicated to the memory of the Bolognese artist who had an indissoluble bond with the Neapolitan city.
The mayor was joined by deputy mayor Laura Lieto and city councilor Alessandra Clemente, who was the first to propose naming a place in the city after the unforgettable Bolognese artist. Among others, Enzo Gragnaniello and Marisa Laurito also attended the event.
Many citizens attended the initiative and sang some of Lucio Dalla's most famous songs. Lucio Dalla, who would have turned 80 today, had a special bond with the city of Naples.
He was also a member of the Circolo Savoia since 1992, the club, which is located near the steps, was his base, where he moored with the Brilla&Billy, the yacht that bore the name of his two inseparable Labradors and which also had a recording studio on board. A suite of the Grand Hotel Vesuvio, on the other hand, was his usual residence on land.
