Minister Piantedosi
Nno advance notice from the Interior Minister Crying himself on the developments of the investigation into the gang violence committed in Caivano in recent days. “The investigations are confidential” he cuts short. From the minister, however, comes an interpretation of the so-called Caivano decree: “I don’t think there is a prison-centric vision, we need to start making the minor responsible and take charge of him, intercept him before he commits a crime”.
The minister is asked if there will be zero tolerance for illegal occupation of properties: “Zero tolerance for occupied housing” – Piantedosi’s answer, which however makes a distinction. “There are irregularities and illegalities, the issue is complex, where is the dividing line between irregularities that will not be tolerated and those for which we will have to pay special attention, we will see. We will find a middle way to follow.
What I can confirm is a constant presence and control of the territory with a strengthened presence in city contexts that will be identified”. “Nothing is done – concluded Piantedosi – for temporal or contingent needs or to satisfy temporary needs. The resources we are giving will, if possible, increase as we carry forward the plan to strengthen the overall police force. We will meet here in a couple of months – he concluded – and we will see if they were catwalks or vice versa actions resulting from a renewed methodology that we will carry forward in a systematic way”.
