On the night between January 30 and 31, a gang of six men attacked a pizzeria in Volla. After forcing the shutter and the entrance door, the thieves entered the premises and stole the cash register.
The owner, addressing the deputy of the Green-Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli, complained of damages of approximately 10.000 euros. The manager opened the pizzeria only 3 months ago and expressed concern about the lack of adequate safety measures in the Volla area.
Borrelli reiterated the urgent need for a strengthening of the security system and an increase in the number of agents on the territory, underlining that the alarm has been raised on several occasions without obtaining concrete results.
“I opened this pizzeria only 3 months ago and last night they devastated it with total control of the territory and did about 10 thousand euros of damages. Can it be that in an area full of activities like Volla there is not more assiduous control?”
"When they decide to reinforce the security system, increasing the number of agents present on the territory, it will always be too late. We have been raising the alarm for some time but they seem to be words thrown to the wind" - Borrelli stated
