Qualiano, they attack the policemen and the driver of the tow truck: two arrested

DTwo individuals ended up in handcuffs after attacking Municipal Police officers in the municipality of Qualiano.

The spark was struck when the officers were writing a report for the lack of insurance on a Lancia Delta, while at the same time a tow truck was lifting the car parked on the street.

The owner of the vehicle, Giulio Ciccarelli, along with a friend, approached the police threatening to get his vehicle back. The situation quickly degenerated, with Ciccarelli even pulling the officers during a heated argument.

In the meantime, Ciccarelli's friend, Luigi Valletta, climbed into the tow truck. Pushing the driver, Valletta stole the keys from the ignition. The officers promptly called 112, and shortly after, the Carabinieri from the Qualiano station intervened to provide support.

Ciccarelli and Valletta were arrested on charges of resisting a public official and robbery. They are currently under house arrest awaiting trial. In the meantime, the car involved has been seized.
