Ithe mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, visited the 'A Voce d'e creature' Foundation, at the historic “Villa di Bambu'”, confiscated from organised crime and granted for free use by the Municipality of Naples in December 2007.
The Foundation welcomes every day, from Monday to Friday, about 150 children, aged 6 to 18, offering them educational and training support. Mayor Manfredi pledged to ensure the continuity of positive initiatives such as that of the “A' Voce d”e creature” Foundation through a review of the regulations. Don Luigi Merola, founder of the Foundation, emphasized the importance of giving continuity to positive initiatives that have proven to make a very positive contribution to the community.
Mayor Manfredi welcomed this request, recognizing the importance of offering solidarity and educational support to children and young people in the area to combat the phenomenon of school dropout.
