“L'Ammore che d'è? Stories of a Neapolitan femminiello” at the Teatro TRAM from February 9th From February 9th to 11th, the Teatro TRAM will be performing “L'ammore che d'è. Stories of a Neapolitan femminiello”, a show that combines stand-up comedy and narrative theater.
The work stars Lila Esposito and Silvio De Luca, directed by Manuela Cherubini. Lila Esposito, created and performed by Silvio De Luca, debuted offline in 2018 and then landed on social media with theatrical content that aims to satirize politics and patriarchal culture.
The artistic path involved the dramaturg Isabella Pinto, leading to the creation of the show “Oggi Voglio Parlare” and subsequently, to the collaboration with the director Manuela Cherubini for the creation of the final version.
“What is Love? Stories of a Neapolitan Feminiello” recounts the present through satire and farce, exploring the repressive linguistic and cultural technologies of patriarchy and the multiplicity of forms of freedom to love.
Lila Esposito reinterprets the figure of the Neapolitan femminiello, embodying a theatrical device that criticizes toxic masculinity and challenges the reduction of sexuality to only two positions. The performance mocks the norm and shows how love has always found powerful expressions over the centuries
