I The financial police of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Caserta, on behalf of the Regional Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Auditors for Campania, have executed the notification of "an invitation to deduct" against 18 individuals, former employees of the Employment Centre of Theano.
The measures were issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office following investigations conducted by the Guardia di Finanza of Caserta, which led to the application of personal and real precautionary measures against the recipients of the judicial measures, for the crimes of aggravated fraud and false attestations.
The investigations, initiated following a report received from the President of the National Anti-Corruption Authority, were carried out through investigative techniques of observation, control, shadowing, telephone interceptions, video recordings, document acquisition and summary information.
These activities led to the disclosure of the modus operandi of the subjects involved who “falsely” attested their presence at the workplace. The investigation, carried out over a period of 5 months, confirmed multiple episodes of absenteeism for a total of 1.000 hours by employees at the headquarters of the Employment Center in Teano.
The Public Accounting Attorney's Office, in relation to the ascertained multiple episodes of absenteeism of the Entity's employees, issued "invitations to deduct" contesting a total damage of € 177.336,00 deriving both from the unfair profit for the false attestations of their presence at the workplace, and from the damage caused to the image of the Entity.
All recipients of the judicial order will have the opportunity to provide their own deductions regarding the disputed matter.
