The Conocal district of Ponticelli paid yet another tribute to the young Camorra boss killed last year during Napoli's championship party.
It's the third Gomorra-style tribute for Vincenzo Costanzo. They did it on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary and then in September. And this time too a party with a fireworks display, balloons, choreography and the inevitable procession of scooters and motorcycles.
This was reported by journalist Luciana Esposito, who has been on the front line in the fight against the Camorra in her neighborhood for years, who wrote:
“Once again, the D'Amico family/clan emphasizes the memory of Vincenzo Costanzo, the boss killed in a Camorra ambush in Naples, last May 5, while thousands of Neapolitans poured into the streets of the city to celebrate the third blue tricolor.
The adopted nephew of the boss Antonio D'Amico, murdered at the age of 26, was celebrated and praised, once again, on the day he would have celebrated his birthday, as demonstrated by the videos that are becoming popular on TikTok.
Yet another slap in the face to the pride of the police forces operating in the area, who should have the moral obligation to mark in red on the calendar the dates on which this type of tribute is destined to take place in that place, in order to nip in the bud the intentions of one of the most hardened Camorra families in the neighborhood, accustomed to using symbols and subliminal languages to spread messages aimed at consolidating consensus and affiliation, but also equally useful to demonstrate to rivals that the family intends to honor the memory of the boss and avenge his death.”
"It is proof of the existence of a sick part of society that tries to infect even the healthy part of the territory by imposing their rules, their myths, their beliefs and the celebration of the Camorra. The State must demonstrate its strength and intelligence by managing to eradicate that mentality and stopping Camorra propaganda on social media, replacing them with messages and symbols of legality and justice. To succeed, it must also be constantly present in those territories where it has always been absent", these are the words of the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
