**Elsa Morante Award: A New Section Dedicated to Graphic Novels**
IThe Elsa Morante Award introduced a new category dedicated to graphic novels, and the winner was Fumettibrutti. Fumettibrutti, pseudonym of Josephine Yole Signorelli, was awarded for her work on “La separazione del maschio” together with Francesco Piccolo. This event will take place on May 15 at the Rai Auditorium in Naples, with Dacia Maraini as president.
The Success of Fumettibrutti
Born in Catania in 1991, Fumettibrutti has gained a large following on social media. With six books published with Feltrinelli and several awards already won, she has captured the attention of the comics world. Her latest work with Francesco Piccolo, “La separazione del maschio”, has transformed a successful novel into a provocative graphic novel, addressing profound themes such as fidelity, love and social roles.
Winners of Other Sections
In addition to Fumettibrutti, the winners of the other sections of the Elsa Morante Prize will also be present at the May 15 ceremony at the Rai Auditorium in Naples. Among them are the Elsa Morante Ragazzi prizes, read by thousands of young readers in Italy and around the world, who represent the Morante network.

The event will be hosted by Alessandro Incerto and Tiuna Notarbartolo and will see the participation of a thousand young people.
