A Pompei, a 54-year-old man was arrested by the State Police for trying to get rid of 31 doses of cocaine by throwing them from the balcony.
The agents of the Pompeii Police Station surprised him while he was trying to get rid of the drugs, but they managed to recover them.
During a routine check at his home, the man tried to get rid of the drugs when he heard the police presence. However, thanks to the intervention of other officers on observation duty, the doses of cocaine were recovered along with 3300 euros in cash of various denominations.
Following the search of the apartment, with the help of the Canine Unit, a homemade “joint” cigarette was also found.
The suspect, a resident of Boscoreale with a criminal record, was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics. In addition to the cocaine, the money and the homemade cigarette were important evidence of the man's illegal activity.
