PThe solemn ceremony for the awarding of the “Stars of Merit for Work” to 76 new Masters of Work from Campania took place in the refined Teatrino di Corte of the Royal Palace.
The prestigious honors, awarded by the President of the Republic, represent a tangible recognition for the exceptional contribution of these workers who have distinguished themselves for their expertise, industriousness and dedication in various production sectors.
The solemn ceremony, which took place in an atmosphere of great emotion and pride, was attended by several authorities, including the Prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari, the Vice President of the Regional Council of Campania, Gennaro Oliviero, the Regional Councillor for Tourism, Happy Casucci, and the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi.
In his opening speech, the Prefect of Bari he underlined the profound symbolic value of the “Stars of Merit for Work”, defining them “a seal to the personal history of these workers, fathers of families, who have dedicated their lives to work, to industriousness, to toil and above all to dignity”.
The Prefect then emphasized the central theme of the day: the connection between rights and work. “Today more than ever”, he has declared, “it is essential to valorize work as a central element for the construction of a fair and cohesive society, where the rights of every individual are respected and protected”.
The Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, expressed words of great appreciation for the newly awarded Masters of Labor, defining them “an excellence of our territory”.
“These honors”, declared Manfredi, “they represent the right way to celebrate the commitment, passion and dedication of those who have contributed to the progress of our city and our region”.
The ceremony concluded with the delivery of the “Stars of Merit for Work” to the 76 Masters, amidst thunderous applause from the audience. A moment of great emotion that celebrated work as a founding value of our society and paid homage to these men and women who, with their example, represent a role model for the new generations.
