A 59-year-old from Sarno arrested at the border with Slovenia: he had an arsenal in his car

UA 59-year-old man, MC, resident in Sarno, was arrested by the Flying Squad of the Gorizia Police Headquarters in Villesse, on the border with Slovenia. The man was found in possession of a veritable arsenal of firearms illegally introduced into the national territory.

The arrest occurred during a patrol service of the border area, intensified by order of the Police Chief of Gorizia. A team from the Flying Squad noticed a car that was proceeding at high speed on the Sant'Andrea roundabout and then decisively entered the motorway junction. The officers ordered the vehicle to stop and they reached it at the height of a shopping centre.

The man, already known to the police, was arrested and taken to the local prison. The weapons were seized.
