SSaturday June 22nd the Buoy Field of the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area reopens in Le Mortelle in the Marina del Cantone Bay in Massa Lubrense. Thirty-five buoys will allow mooring in an otherwise prohibited area and without causing damage to the seabed and the Posidonia oceanica. Several new features are planned for summer 2024.
Payment for the costs of the secretarial fees to use the service will be possible only through the Blue Discovery App. An App created specifically for marine protected areas that will also provide useful information for safe navigation, respecting the regulations of the Marine Reserve, as well as to indicate the free anchoring areas in zone C and places of interest nearby.
The App can be downloaded from these links: Android devices: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.bluethread.bluediscovery , Apple devices: https://apps.apple.com/it/app/bluediscovery. No reservation is required for Campo Boe.
The cost for secretarial fees has an hourly rate and varies between residents and non-residents in the municipalities of the MPA and based on the length of the boat. It ranges from 5 euros per hour on weekdays for resident boats up to 10 meters in length, up to 30 euros per hour for non-resident boats from 15 to 24 meters in length on holidays. On the website and social pages of the Marine Protected Area Punta Campanella you can view all the rates.
The eco-sustainable buoy field of the Punta Campanella MPA, active for almost 10 years, is equipped with 35 buoys, of which 29 are Manta Ray, a system that prevents damage to the seabed and the Posidonia oceanica meadows. A way to make an otherwise forbidden area accessible, thus promoting the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism.
