Pomigliano d'Arco, stopped while riding a scooter: lots of money and drugs at home

I Carabinieri of the radiomobile section of the Castello di Cisterna company arrested Francesco Coppola, a 46-year-old local man already known to the police, on charges of drug dealing. The man was noticed while riding along via Passariello on an electric scooter, attracting the attention of the police who decided to stop him for a check.

The personal search led to the discovery of 6 doses of hashish and 15 grams of cocaine. Subsequently, a house search revealed further quantities of narcotics: more than a kilo of hashish, precisely 1,144 grams, divided into 14 blocks.

During the check, a switchblade and a sum of 15.394 euros in cash, divided into small denomination banknotes, considered to be the proceeds of the illegal activity, were also seized. Coppola was immediately transferred to prison, where he will remain awaiting trial.
