NIn the splendid setting of the Borbonico del Fusaro Park, on September 1st, “Morgana and the Lady of the Lake” will be staged, an exciting show, curated by “The Key of Artemysia”, within the “Notti Vanvitelliane” event, sponsored by the Municipality of Bacoli and the Centro Ittico Campano.
The show offers an original and unprecedented interpretation of one of the most fascinating narrative cycles of Western mythology: the Breton cycle of the saga of King Arthur, from his rise to power to the death of his faithful confidant, the magician Merlin, told through a female perspective.
The protagonists of this extraordinary narrative are two emblematic figures of the magical and feminine universe: Morgana, the enigmatic enchantress of the legend of King Arthur and her antagonist, Viviana, the Lady of the Lake.
Through a mix of intense dialogue and surprising twists, “Morgana and the Lady of the Lake” is a celebration of femininity throughout the centuries, honored and protected during Arthur’s reign, relegated to the shadows, repressed and forgotten, upon his death.
The stories of these two extraordinary women invite us to reflect on the powerful legacy of female figures who have played central roles, reaffirming the importance of the fiery and magical feminine principle that characterized the women of Avalon, guardians of an ancient and sacred wisdom.
The priestesses and fairies of the past have not disappeared, they are still present, potentially alive in each of us, ready to awaken the sacred feminine that is just waiting to be rediscovered.
A unique representation, where the strength of women and their stories intertwine in a compelling narrative.
