Salerno. Failed ambush at dawn in via Mauri in the eastern part of the city bordering the neighborhoods of Mariconda and Pastena.
The Carabinieri, alerted by numerous phone calls reporting gunshots, arrived on the scene and found and collected 8 shell casings on the asphalt.
Signal of a real shooting. The shots were scattered even twenty meters away. After finding the shell casings, the carabinieri took the images from some private cameras present in the area.
The investigations are coordinated by the Salerno Prosecutor's Office. The investigators do not exclude that it was a failed ambush given the distance of the bullets and do not exclude a stretched out demonstration similar to those that take place in the alleys of Naples.
The military also checked the hospitals but there were no reports of people injured or hospitalized by gunshots.
