Last Show of the Fifth Edition of the Festival “I Nostri Miti” in Pomigliano d'Arco
The last show of the fifth edition of the theater festival “I Nostri Miti” will be held on Thursday, September 5th in Pomigliano d'Arco, Naples. The event, which has been a great success, will close with the performance of the actor Blas Roca Rey, who will stage “Letters to Theo” in the Garden of Myths. In case of adverse weather conditions, the show will be moved to the Palazzo dell'Orologio.
An Intense Monologue
Blas Roca Rey, accompanied on the flutes by maestro Luciano Tristaino, will interpret Vincent Van Gogh through a monologue taken from the collection of letters between the famous painter and his brother Theo. Theo, a gallery owner by profession, has always supported Vincent throughout his life, and the performance will tell his story, bringing to the stage emotions and reflections on the famous artist known for his works such as “Sunflowers”, “Fields of Wheat” and “Starry Night”.
Successful Art Direction
Felice Panico, director and artistic director of the festival, enthusiastically expressed his satisfaction for the success of the fifth edition. “This is the second edition under my direction and we have seen a significant increase in attendance at the evening shows,” said Panico. This year’s novelty, the children’s theater festival called “I Nostri Piccoli Miti,” was particularly appreciated by the public, thus increasing the quality and variety of the programming.
Future Festival Projects
With the closing of this edition, the organizers are already planning the future of the festival. “The intention is to make 'I Nostri Miti Festival Teatrale' a permanent cultural event in Pomigliano d'Arco,” said Totò Caprioli, creator of the festival. The idea is to propose events throughout the year, with workshops, seminars and training meetings, riding the wave of the success of the current edition and considering the possibility of a winter version of the festival.
Growth and Cultural Perspectives
The cultural growth of the event is a focal point for the organizers. In addition to theater performances, the festival could expand to new offerings such as workshops, seminars and retrospectives, creating opportunities for artists and audiences to meet. This prospect represents a great impetus for future editions of the festival, further consolidating its presence in the local cultural landscape.
