Caserta – A moment full of emotion and solemnity marked today the official entry of 310 new doctors into the world of the healthcare profession.
In the suggestive setting of Caserta, 282 doctors and 28 dentists took the Hippocratic Oath, thus confirming their commitment to a career that is, first and foremost, a mission and a responsibility.
A ceremony full of symbols
The traditional formula was recited first in ancient Greek, then in Italian, with those present, in unison, pronouncing the solemn "I swear". A crucial step, which sealed the beginning of their professional journey, in front of family members, colleagues and representatives of the Provincial Order of Surgeons and Dentists of Caserta.
The words of the institutions
Carlo Manzi, president of the Order, underlined the importance of the moment: "From today you become part of a community founded on profound values: responsibility, humanity, competence. This rite, provided for by our code of ethics, is a fundamental step. My hope is that you follow with conviction the path closest to your aspirations."
To reiterate the importance of the profession, Salvatore Cappabianca, president of the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery at the Vanvitelli University, added: "Today your journey truly begins. With this oath you take on a responsibility that we have tried to convey to you during your studies. Being a doctor is a very important mission."
A future of commitment and dedication
The ceremony, organized with rigor and passion by the Order, represented not only a rite of passage, but also a warning: to practice the profession with ethics, competence and humanity. Amid applause and emotion, the new white coats thus took their first steps in a world that, today more than ever, requires dedication and sacrifice.
A beginning that, for many, is also a promise: that of serving health, always and in any case, first of all.
